Michael T. Owsley, Chiropractor
Dr. Owsley is originally from Hardin County. A chiropractic patient since the age of eleven, he became aware of the many benefits of chiropractic from a young age. His chiropractor later encouraged his decision to pursue a career in chiropractic. Dr. Owsley is a graduate of Central Hardin High School. While in school he was active in several activities ranging from swimming to marching band, he attributes his ability to participate in these activities to his chiropractic care. He went on to obtain a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry and Organizational Communication from Murray State University in southwest Kentucky. In college, he stayed active in the Murray community as a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity and as a volunteer for local youth organizations. Following his college graduation, Dr. Owsley pursued his chiropractic education at the Fountainhead of the chiropractic profession, Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. While in school, Dr. Owsley served directly for the office of the chancellor as a Campus Guide. This allowed him to communicate the benefits of chiropractic to visiting groups ranging from prospective students to Iowa state congressmen. He was also one of a select group of students chosen for a clinic abroad trip to India where he provided health care to the natives of a country with a billion people and only one chiropractor.
Following his graduation from chiropractic school, Dr. Owsley worked for two years with another chiropractor to further his experience and training. In June of 2006, he opened his own office located at 585 Westport Road in Elizabethtown. In May of 2013, the office moved across to its current location in the Children’s Clinic building at 596 Westport Road. He has served on the board of directors for the Heritage Council, was a charter member of the Young Professionals of Hardin County, and was an original board member of the merged Hardin County Chamber of Commerce. He is an alumni of the Leadership Elizabethtown class of 2006-2007. Dr. Owsley has made time to teach Anatomy as a part-time faculty at Elizabethtown Community and Technical College since 2007.
He has been active with the Elizabethtown Rotary Club since 2004. He served as president of the club in 2011-2012. He will serve as the youngest District Governor for Rotary District 6710 in 2018-2019 serving the 55 Rotary Clubs in the western half of the state.
Dr. Owsley resides in Elizabethtown with his wife Kelly and children Bella and Nolan. And yes, to answer one of his most frequently asked questions… he is related to Bob.

Dana McCann
Hi, my name is Dana McCann! I grew up in a small town in Breckinridge County – Constantine. I started working at Owsley Family Chiropractic as an intern through the Medical Information Technology program at ECTC in 2007. Upon completion of my internship, I graduated with a Medical Administration/Records degree and continued working for Dr. Owsley until May of 2008, when I married and moved to Georgetown, KY. I currently reside there with my wonderful husband Eric, and 2 beautiful children Alyvia and Jaxson. My hobbies are centered on my kids right now! I often refer to myself as a “domestic engineer” aka – a stay at home mom! I enjoy being involved in our local library’s activities, church, and volunteering at my daughter’s preschool.
After leaving Owsley Family Chiropractic in 2008, I continued to work in the chiropractic field for several chiropractors in Lexington, KY. Over the past 10 years, I have gained technical and administrative experience not only in chiropractic, but in the radiology, physical therapy, and nephrology/internal medicine fields as well. In 2015, I decided to continue my education and enrolled in BCTC where I completed my Medical Billing/Coding and Medical Transcription degrees. In March 2017, I received the opportunity to come back to the Owsley Family Chiropractic team as an Independent Medical Billing Specialist and am thrilled to be back!
Chiropractic care excites me! I have seen people of all ages, myself included, benefit from the results it produces. My passion is helping people in the medical field. Although you may not see me around the office as much as the others, I want everyone to know I am passionate about helping people receive the care they need and deserve. I assure you I am working behind the scenes, at all hours, doing my part to help you feel better!
