The massage therapist may give you suggestions for stretches or exercises that you may complete at home between sessions. These suggestions are not requirements but may be helpful to the patient to reduce or eliminate pain when at work or before bed. The therapist may also ask you about your daily activities to help identify a movement or position that is causing your discomfort or tension and have ideas to help make adjustments to eliminate those problems.
Keep in mind that the food you eat is fuel for your body. You wouldn’t put contaminated fuel in your vehicle but unfortunately most of us treat our vehicles better than we treat our bodies. Simple dietary changes can greatly enhance your treatment and reduce inflammation.
